Let's go sunning

Let's go sunning
It's so good for you
Let's go sunning
Beneath the sky of blue
Greet the sun every morn
Feel as free and happy as the day you were born

Let's go native
Sun your cares away
Be creative
Learn to live and play
Pretty flowers need the sun
This applies to everyone
Life's worth living
When nature's giving
Happiness to everyone
So let's go sunning

Let's go native
Sun your cares away
Be creative
Learn to live and play

Pretty flowers need the sun
This applies to everyone
Life's worth living
When nature's giving
Happiness to everyone
So let's go sunning

Searching for a heart

Leaving in the evening
Traveling at night
Staying inconspicuous
I'm staying out of sight

And I'm searching for a heart
Searching everyone
They say love conquers all
You can't start it like a car
You can't stop it with a gun

They tell me love requires a little standing in line
And I've been waiting for you, lover, for a long, long time
I've been pacing the floor
I've been watching the door
Meanwhile I'll keep searching for a heart

Searching high and low for you
Trying to track you down
Certain individuals
Have finally come around

~~Searching For A Heart, Warren Zevon

Act Natural

Hannah Solo and BB-One save the baby!  We're blending sci-fi stories a bit, but go with me.  ;)  The rescue complete, all we have to do is get out of there.  Act natural, BB-One!  No one will notice a thing.  Clever trap there, milk and cookies.  Step on it, the baby will start squealing.  Get them!  Oh no, time to RUN.

Visit Chronicles & Legends for some outstanding sci-fi items this month.  The theme is Live Long, Prosper & Use the Force!  May the force be with you, and happy shopping.  :-)

Like Strawberry Wine

I still remember when thirty was old
And my biggest fear was September when he had to go
A few cards and letters and one long distance call
We drifted away like the leaves in the fall
But year after year I come back to this place
Just to remember the taste
Of strawberry wine and seventeen
The hot July moon saw everything
My first taste of love oh bittersweet
Green on the vine
Like strawberry wine

Mobil station where I stand
This old gas pump in my hand
My boss don't like me, got a face like a weasel
Oil on my hands and the smell of diesel
Here comes a big shot from the city
V8 engine, she runs so pretty
'Fill her up son, unleaded
I need a full tank of gas where I'm headed'
Up in the front seat a pretty red head
'We're going to Vegas we're gonna get wed'
'So fill her up son, don't be staring
That's a real diamond she be wearing'
I'm gonna take my baby one day
I'm gonna fill her up and head west
I'm going find some money all right
See those tail lights heading west
I got no money to invest
Got no prospects, no education
I was lucky getting a job at this gas station
That old cash box on the top shelf
The boss is sleeping, I'll just help myself
Let's consider this as just a loan
I can sort it out later on the phone
I'm gonna pick my girl up tonight
I'm gonna fill her up and head west
I'm gonna show her all the bright lights
We're gonna say we lived 'for we come home
And as I head through the woods on the way back
The evening sun is slanting through the pine trees real pretty
It's like I walked into a glade of heaven
And there's music playing
This money is cold in my hand
And a voice somewhere is saying
'Why would you wanna take that stolen thing
And what real happiness can it bring?'
You're gonna fill her up with sadness
You're gonna fill her up with shame
You're gonna fill her up with sorrow
Before she even takes your name
You're gonna fill her up with madness
You're gonna fill her up with blame
You're gonna live with no tomorrow
You're gonna fill her up with pain
You're gonna fill her up with darkness
You're gonna fill her up with night
You gotta fill her up with Jesus
You gotta fill her up with light
You gotta fill her up with spirit
You gotta fill her up with grace
You gotta fill her up with heaven
You got the rest of life to face
You gotta fill her up the right way
You gotta fill her up with care
You gotta fill her up with babies
You gotta fill her up and swear
You're gonna love that girl forever
You're gonna fill her up for life
You're gonna be a loving husband
She's gonna be your loving wife
You gotta fill her up with gladness
You gotta fill her up with joy
You gotta fill her up with love
You gotta fill her up with love

Mixed Drinks Mixed Feelings

She orders up another one
'Cause who's counting anyway
Won't stop till the job is done
She's gotta forget his name
Every sip on her lips is going down so slow
Like the tears falling off her face
Bartender knows better than to cut her off
It's his job to fix heartbreak
She don't even like the taste

But she's throwing them back
Raising the glass
Saying goodbye to the past 'cause it's over
Clearing her mind two at a time
Little more vodka with a little less soda
Knows it ain't right, just for tonight
It's gonna be her way of dealing
She has mixed feelings about her drinking
Mixed drinks about her feelings
