Spying On Neighbors Again

I have become an extreme peeping Tom-ette!  These neighbors, you've GOT to see this, seriously.  It's so entertaining I have unpacked my spyglass.  And so I won't look conspicuous (cough) I moved my patio furniture up onto the dock.  A little iced tea, some fruit, good to go.  Care to join me?  I have another spyglass....

One Thousand & One Arabian Nights at Enchantment!

Enchantment opens today, and the lineup is stunning! I am one truly fortunate blogger to have the opportunity to share with you so many of the wonderful creations for your shopping consideration. The theme for this round is One Thousand & One Arabian Nights, and runs from August 12th through 31st. 

Sergeanne Golon (a husband and wife team)* wrote a wonderful collection of historical romance novels called Angélique, published originally in 1956. Our French heroine spanned the globe in her pursuit of love. The story of Angélique will forever be my favorite romance to read and reread (the movies are great too if you can get your hands on them, starring Michèle Mercier, beautiful actress). The character's sensuality, fearlessness and indomitable nature is revealed in epic proportions, much like idea of the many stories told for One Thousand & One Arabian Nights!  

One of the books in the set is called Angélique and the Sultan (alternatively, Angélique in Barbary). My avie will be channeling Angélique in my Enchantment posts this month. Will she be able to resist the Sultan?

* Sadly, Anne Golon passed away recently, with more to the story unfinished.

The Wedding Planner

This post came together in my head as how a classy wedding planner might dress and what furniture accessories she would use while making a couple's romantic dreams come true. One such couple has opted for an outdoor beach wedding. Early in the planning, our wedding planner has invited the couple to the location where the wedding will take place.  She awaits their arrival in a lovely pergola, to discuss the contract, and let the couple relax and experience the setting pre-date.

This beautiful outfit is by Black Swan. The attention to details of the texture is remarkable! I have also included a pic of the back design.
