After the end of The Princess Bride

For Buttercup, freedom was wherever she and Westley could be together, and the happiest of places was home.  After so much time apart and so many harrowing adventures, they welcomed the opportunity to just simply be.  Together.  After a ride Buttercup returned home, where Westley is waiting, and always will be.  After all, it is as she wishes!

Read this story to a child.  They will thank you for it.

Star In Your Own Fairy Tale - Enchantment

As everyone knows, Snow White was well educated, having grown up in a castle.  When she fled she was able to bring with her several books and her favorite music box.  She often liked to swing and read fairy tales, with the company of her bird.  Little did she know, she would soon become the star of a fairy tale herself!  Don't eat the apple, Snow White! Drop it, drop it now!

Visit this round of the Enchantment Event to create your own fairy tale.  Happy shopping!

A Crunchy Apple Will Bring Out The Wolves

Have you ever noticed you can be completely alone in the forest, but take something out to eat and the wolves come running?  That's all Little Red Riding Hood had to do, one bite of an apple.  Well at least the wolves offered to light the way for her trek to Grandmother's house after her little tussle with them for continued ownership of the apple!  Little did she know, what lies ahead....

Little Red Riding Hood was first written down in the late 1600s by Charles Perrault. The Brothers Grimm's version, called Rotkäppchen, is the best-known and dates from the 19th century, 200 years later. This story certainly has grim circumstances for one very hungry wolf!

Create your own Grimm Brothers fairy tale with the fantastic creations waiting at the Enchantment Event in Second Life.  This round is not only about little Miss Riding Hood, it's Grimm Brothers carte blanche for the designers. I'd love to see what you create too, don't hesitate to show me.

Happy fairy tales!

Enchantment - Run Run Runaway, Runaway Baby

And this time, the Frog Prince says:

Well looky here looky here ah what do we have?

Another pretty thing ready for me to grab

But little does she know that I'm a wolf in sheeps clothing

'Cause at the end of the night it is her I'll be holding

I love you so

That's what you'll say

You'll tell me baby, baby please don't go away

But when I play, I never stay

To every girl that I meet here, this is what I'll say

Run run runaway, runaway baby

Before I put my spell on you

You better get get getaway, getaway darling

'Cause everything you heard is true

You poor little heart will end up alone

'Cause lord knows I'm a rolling stone

So you better run run runaway, runaway baby

Uh, ah yeah

Well let me think, let me think, ah what should I do?

So many eager young bunnies that I'd like to pursue

Now even though they're eating out the palm of my hand

There's only one carrot and they all gotta share it

                 ~~Runaway Baby, Bruno Mars

I am having way too much fun with these items found at Enchantment, and you will too! Time to spruce up your garden into a magical fairyland.  The Frog Prince is available for free kisses.  You can run away in style wearing a gorgeous art deco complete outfit.  But aww, he's kinda cute.  Take a chance, he might turn into a prince.  Really!

Enchantment's theme this month is Beauty and the Beast. Delight your inner child by strolling through the event before the end of the month, which is rapidly approaching! Not only will your inner child find treasures, but your adult-you will find some thrilling things too. Everything is all in the spirit of this beautiful tale. I'm wearing pr!tty hair (Bellena), and a darling gown by *Sweet Kajira* (Isabela). You can add marvelous touches to your garden area with the Daydreams swing by {e}lusive, and the Forgotten Ruins build and flowers by 3rd Eye Perceptions. Enchantment - Angelique's Dream in Barbary

From the balcony of Angelique's quarters, she saw the soldiers escorting Colin Pasturel, the Christian slave, to the palace. Even from a distance, she could see how handsome he was...tall with broad shoulders. Sun lightened tendrils escaped his attempt to tie his long hair back. She gasped at his attractiveness, even in this setting and dire situation. He had been caught, and she knew from the whisperings she'd overheard that the Sultan may very well torture him for his successes in freeing other slaves.

That night she dreamt of him. They were in a tub amid beautiful surroundings and Colin held her close. The warm water swirled around them. As he caressed Angelique, he whispered comfortingly to her that soon they would be free. She awoke to find her lashes wet from her tears.
