A beautiful day has just begun

See the sun shining in the window,

Time to start a new day.

Can't you hear the song bird singing?

They're gonna sing out loud and say:

Cause It's a beautiful day for running in the sun,

A beautiful day has just begun.

A beautiful day, to do what I want to dooo ah-hah.

Cause It's a beautiful day just to be alive,

A beautiful day so glad that I've got

A beautiful day and I'd like to share it with you!

Party on the patio

The following lyrics don't seem to go at all with the serenity of the pic.  But they do!  When I found them, I just had to laugh, gotta love ZZ Top!

I found an empty house in my neighborhood,

I knew that we shouldn't but I thought we could.

Knew it wouldn't be hard to slide into the backyard,

Called all my friends and slipped a hundred to the guard.

We turned on the radio and had a party on the patio.

Betty's in the sauna and she's getting kind of hot,

Mary's in the icebox wishin' she was not.

Connie's in the whirlpool, Jimmy's tryin' to be cool,

Libby's in the bushes 'cause she's nobody's fool.

We turned the lights down low and had a party on the patio.

Heard the cops are coming so we tried to jump the fence,

Mary didn't make it and we haven't seen her since.

Connie had another drink, Jimmy simply couldn't think,

Billy G. was passed out underneath the sink.

But everybody's gonna show for another party on the patio.

You alone can make my song take flight

Floating, falling, sweet intoxication

Touch me, trust me, savor each sensation

Let the dream begin, let your darker side give in

To the power of the music that I write

The power of the music of the night

You alone can make my song take flight

Help me make the music of the night

I want to play in your summer garden

I want to play in your summer garden

I want to go swimming in your river of kisses

I want to spend all my time in your sunny world

And you are wearing into night and so cool outside

I want to play in your summer garden

I want to fly in your perfect heaven

I wasted too much now in the pouring rain

And you are wearing into night and so cool outside

I want to play in your summer garden

I want to you swim in your river of kisses

I want to spend all my time in your sunny world

And you are wearing into night and so cool outside

                             ~~ Summer Garden, Singapore Sling

This song has a decidedly 60's vibe down to the dash of tambourine.  The more I listened to it the more it complimented the shot!  This month Swank designers have created a summer wonderland of color for us.  Here I constructed a side yard garden with items by Enchanted Fantasy, Dreamland Designs and Simple Reflections.  I would love to see what YOU create with these garden creations.

Happy shopping!

Do You Remember The Summerhouse

Do you remember

The way it used to be

June to September

In a cottage by the sea

Distant cousins, local kids

We climbed every tree together

And it never ever rained

'Til we climbed back on the train

That would take us so far away

From the village and the bay

And the summerhouse

Where we found new games to play

Do you remember

Sunday lunch on the lawn

Daring escapes at midnight

And costumeless bathes at dawn.

You were only nine years old

And I was barely ten

It's kind of weird to be back here again

Do you remember

The summerhouse...?
