Happy almost Halloween Birthday to me!

The Munsters Modern Livingroom


I haven't heard if Rob Zombie's remake of The Munsters is for the horror genre or will remain fun-family-creepy.  Regardless, do we think this white couch is the best choice?  ;)

I did an angled pic, but why do we do these??


I don't quite understand the hype about making angled or sideways pics.  They say (you know the collective they-say-people) that it's better to show off more items closer.  Well I apparently suck at doing them, for one thing.  I use Photoshop Elements - had to move farther away from the shot to have enough pic to rotate.  Farther way doesn't necessarily equal crisp and sharp?  I can clearly see in this example crispness is compromised.  I also have no idea where to place my avatar in the larger shot for a nicely captured pic after rotating.  Is there some app that places a frame where appropriate for me that says "here, idiot, right here."  

We're doing this for Flickr, aren't we.

There is scientific evidence that eye to brain processing of an angled pic must be "reinterpreted" or "corrected" in lieu of tilting our heads at the same angle.  "Right Side Up," Scientific American here.  We're making our viewers tilt their heads and/or get a headache?  Aww, that's not very nice!  

My own slants are few and far between.  Personally, I can tolerate viewing a 45 degree angle like this, preferably to the right for some reason.  However, I'm still not sure it's the best approach.  A 90 degree sideways pic of an avatar in repose is fine, but one obviously not laying down to me is ridiculous.  It's got to be self-serving for a Flickr group cover.  I'm not going to reinterpret it or tilt my head.

I want to know your thoughts.

Did your Halloween sorority parties wind up like this too??


I'm not sure how this happened.  I attended a sorority party at St. Jude's.  When I woke up I was in a dungeon room, hands covered in blood (yet fortunately my outfit was still spotless), I'd been shot in the head, and I seemed to be part of some macabre collection of...kinda living dolls?  OMG!  "WHAT'S HAPPENING??" (which is unashamedly stolen from Poltergeist)

Check out the new interactive horror experience, Cutting Class 2021, sponsored by Pulse Games and Sn@tch City.  The first of my credits below lists the PRIZES depicted from the event!  So, scary fun and booty to haul home.  

My awesome pose is newness from Secret Poses.  The bento set is called She is Magique and is found at Shiny Shabby.  I like this set; they're particularly expressive.

A little Halloween in your fashion statement


I thought I'd put together a fashion look with just a little bit of Halloween for those who are sick of it already.  Me?  Never, lol.  But I'll allow that we don't have to be in full Halloween regalia ALL the time.  ;)

Vanity Hair is creating hairbases now and I'm mightily impressed!  This is Hairbase #6.  It has an Add-On little unrigged ponytail.  You will find it now at FameshedX until November 6th.

I'm wearing Kosmetik's October group gift nails, Twenty-One Halloweeny.  These are for Maitreya with matching toenails and include Omega.  

Nuve has reworked Velvet lipsticks and they're definitely kissable!  The appliers fit Lelutka Evo, EvoX, and Catwa HDPro.
