Enchantment - The Snow Queen

I often wondered by the Snow Queen was surrounded by snowflakes that looked like bees. Perhaps they really were bees, in hibernation awaiting spring. Or, perhaps they were a figment of the Snow Queen's imagination, in her solitary ice world, to keep her company.

Marlinchen visits her stepbrother at the juniper tree every day. In the form of a dove, he sings his soft, plaintive song. A lovely depiction of oh, pretty much the only nice part of The Juniper Tree story as told by the Brothers Grimm, save reuniting! Or, perhaps this is Rapunzel just prior to being locked in the tower.
