Vintage Fair - Practicing Marilyn

How many girls wanted to be like Marilyn Monroe in the 50's? She was an epitome of beauty and style for the time AND today. Everything about her was copied - her hair, makeup, poses and clothing. Even her breathy little voice! For this Vintage Fair post, I decided to channel just a little of Marilyn using a pose by Image Essentials. This pose is Marilyn 2, part of a package of lovely Marilyn-inspired poses you'll find at the event. These would be adorable used on a boardwalk by the sea! I'm really just practicing for my big break at home. ;)

I'm wearing an adorable hairstyle by *TKW* called Aronen. It has messy double braids starting high. It comes with a style hud with options for the bangs. Isn't it cute? My gorgeous Catwa applier/skin is by A R T E named, appropriately, Marilyn. I selected the suntan option. My shadow/liner makeup is by Warpaint called Colorblock, and has the lovely upward tilt at the corners - tres Marilyn. I'm also wearing a darling little choker by {Lenore}, called Cleo, the Pin-Up Girl.

My Retro Romper is by *G Field*. This spans decades of fashion to be enjoyed today too! The romper includes a great texture hud with multiple sizes. Dress it up or down, it's seriously cute and would show off tattoos and jewelry to excellent advantage!

Ahh the heels, I love them. These are Odyssey sandals by G&D; they include an awesome texture hud. Are we sure these are retro? Very! And worn just as easily and beautifully today.

I'd better quit stylin' and accept the flower from my determined puppy. Poor little guy, he's been offering it all afternoon. Waving bye, and happy shopping at the Vintage Fair! Specific landmarks to featured items are included.

Peace On Earth Hunt 10 Starts Dec 1st !!

Are you excited? I'm excited. The Peace on Earth Hunt 10 begins December 1st. It is the longest running grid-wide hunt in Second Life. This year, is it positively jam-PACKED with marvelous designers, giving to us in the spirit of...peace on earth! Did I mention there are about 300 designers?? I have a link to the website below, and also a link to the official hunt starting point where you can arm yourself with lists and links. In my credits, the store names for items depicted are clickable for teleports, but do remember - the hunt starts December 1st. Make it a friend excursion and go find the pretty little globes. We're all going to be able to entirely decorate ourselves and our homes, several times over! :p
