She believed she could so she did

Growing up, I watched Chris Evert Lloyd play tennis.  Her accomplishments are many and awe-inspiring: she won 157 singles championships along with 32 doubles titles.  She was also the year-ending World No. 1 singles player from 1974-1978, and 1980-1981.  In prize money only she earned over 8 million dollars!  Chris was also highly sought for endorsements.  The woman is amazing, and what struck me most was the fierce, total concentration with which she played.  Her head was in the game.

Shouldn't we all keep our heads in this game of life?  With concentration and focus, we can excel in whatever we set out to do.

The Removal of Mr. Roboto's Mask

I'm not a robot without emotions, I'm not what you see
I've come to help you with your problems, so we can be free
I'm not a hero, I'm not a savior, forget what you know
I'm just a man whose circumstances went beyond his control

The problem's plain to see
Too much technology
Machines to save our lives
Machines dehumanize

The time has come at last
To throw away this mask
Now everyone can see
My true identity

So baby be the life of the party

I love it when you just don't care

I love it when you dance like there's nobody there

So when it gets hard, don't be afraid

We don't care what them people say

I love it when you don't take no

I love it when you do what you want cause you just said so

Let them all go home, we out late

We don't care what them people say

We don't have to be ordinary

Make your best mistakes

'Cause we don't have the time to be sorry

So baby be the life of the party

I'm telling you to take your shot it might be scary

Hearts are gonna break

'Cause we don't have the time to be sorry

So baby be the life of the party

Man I Love The Color Pink

Ode to one of the sweetest songs ever!

God bless dads who unashamedly celebrate their daughters' femininity.

I rolled out of bed, almost broke my neck.

Well I just laughed, cause I stepped on Barbie's head.

It ain't the first time and it's gonna happen again,

but I'm okay with the world I live in.

Cause I like, baseball, huntin in the fall, fishin out by the lake.

Now it's tea parties, malibu Barbies, and easy bake oven made cupcakes.

I like Friday nights with all my boys

washin away the week with a tall stiff drink,

but man I love the color pink.

People see me at the mall covered up in bags,

watchin my babygirls spend every dime I have.

And I ain't ashamed I know every Taylor Swift song.

My girls love when I sing along (yeah they do).

Cause I like cards on the table, fights on cable,

the sound of a revved up Chevrolet.

Now it's pony tails and paintin my nails and,

"Dad, watch me do ballet."

People say they grow up fast, better make it last,

cause man they're gone sooner than you think,

but man I love

The color pink like a flipflop, big ole polka dots, butterflies on the wall.

Pink like a piggy bank, hairbrush on the sink, cartwheels down the hall.

And pink like the dress you wear to prom

and you wear a white one and man she's gone.

Man I can't blink, cause I God I love the color pink.

God I love the color pink

Her Crazy's Beautiful To Me

Her day starts with a coffee and ends with a wine

Takes forever getting ready so she's never on time for anything

When she gets that "come get me" look in her eyes

Well, it kinda scares me, the way that she drives me wild

When she drives me wild

Beautiful, crazy, she can't help but amaze me

The way that she dances, ain't afraid to take chances

And wears her heart on her sleeve

Yeah, she's crazy but her crazy's beautiful to me

She makes plans for the weekend, can't wait to go out

Till she changes her mind

Says, "Let's stay on the couch and watch TV"

And she falls asleep

Beautiful, crazy, she can't help but amaze me

The way that she dances, ain't afraid to take chances

And wears her heart on her sleeve

Yeah, she's crazy but her crazy's beautiful to me

She's unpredictable, unforgettable

It's unusual, unbelievable

How I'm such a fool, yeah, I'm such a fool for her

Sunflowers In Spring

Sunflower smiling at the sun

Your time is gonna' come

Keep your eyes on sunny skies

Your heart soars above the clouds

Sings a song out loud

For a brand new day, not so far away

Isn't it amazing, what you see

Isn't it amazing, what you do

Isn't it amazing, everything

Sunflowers in spring, they're just like you

Sunflower wipe away your tears

All your doubts and fears

You were born to fly, so high

Sunflower everybody knows

You're the one that grows in a sunny place

Such a happy face

My Cat Fell in the Well

I woke up this morning with a feeling of despair
I looked for my pussy but my pussy wasn't there
Well, well, well
My cat fell in the well
Oh puss puss puss poor kitty kitty kitty
My cat fell in the well

I got out a ladder and I climbed down to my pet
I saw in a jiffy that my puss was soakin' wet
Well, well, well
My cat fell in the well
Oh puss puss puss poor kitty kitty kitty
My cat fell in the well

The doggone hole by the pump
Once she pushed, and in she jumped
There never was a kitty half as pretty
As the pussy that fell in the well
There never was a pussy that could quite compare with her
Pretty as a picture with her long and silky fur -

Well, well, well, well my cat fell in the well, well
Oh oh oh pussy pussy pussy poor kitty kitty kitty
My cat fell in the well

If you have a pussy that you wouldn't trade or sell
Never let her wander or she might fall in a well
Well, well, well
My cat fell in the well
Oh puss puss puss poor kitty kitty kitty
My cat fell in the well
Fell in the - well!
