This breeze, the smell of sea, the sunset.
Every time I go down to that place I'm always reminded.
The times I went there with you
they were amazing and then I found out who you really are.
Do you remember when I promised you
that house on the hill where you said we'd have this every day.
Do you remember when you promised me
that you were for real and I said I want this for the rest of my days.
It's funny how things can change
and now I'm left with meaningless carvings on the stand,
a trace of my own steps on the sand.
This was not meant to be, this view won't let me forget.
