The true battle of love in Midsummer Night's Dream is between Tatania, the fairy queen, and Oberon, the fairy king. Amid Shakepeare's delightful prose, the story unfolds easily in pictures.
Their fascination with humans builds to dangerous heights, though I suppose less dangerous for fairy royalty than others. In turn we are fascinated by fairies! Maybe it's really just a collective fascination with love.
